In “A Halo of Flies,” Alan Moore continues his landmark redefinition of the character with gothic flair and psychological depth. This issue dives into the mind of the madman Arcane, recently resurrected and more grotesque than ever, as he unleashes a plague of fear and flies upon Abby and Swamp Thing. Classic horror storytelling, deeply unsettling visuals, and the continued unraveling of Moore’s layered plot make this a standout issue in the early part of the run.
